Ramco Printing Works Limited initiated a new book binding section in September 2013. This facility is for the manufacture of high-end diaries, journals and note books under the brand name `Hippo. The state-of-the-art machinery used to manufacture the diaries is all European standard and ensures the entire process from book block making to case making and final binding is done in-house. The semi-automated system produces between 3,000 and 3,500 diaries a day, using pre-designed artworks or customised options. This operational efficiency results in greater economies of scale for the printing company.
