TRAVELSHOPPE: Travelshoppe and Saab CSR activity at Likii special Unit

Travelshoppe has been supporting various institutions by giving donations and raising funds for projects as a way of giving back to the society in Nairobi, Nanyuki and around Kenya. One of the institutions that Travelshoppe recently supported was Likii Special Unit.

Likii Special Unit is an institution that caters for orphans and/or disabled children who have been disowned by their biological mothers and fathers. It is built on a 1 acre piece of land and provides for approximately one hundred children. However, the number of children keeps increasing due to new admissions that are referred to the unit.

The institution offers education, shelter and skills and also has boarding facilities which gives teachers more time to attend to the disabled children and teach them some skills which will help them in future. The disabled children also undertake physiotherapy to help them improve their movements within the institution.

Travelshoppe together with Saab recently donated books, clothes and toys to the institution and held a cycling event to raise funds for the institution.
