ASL – Heavy Fabrication Division (HFD) was an exhibitor in the 15th Africa Dairy Conference this year. The conference attracted visitors, delegates and exhibitors from 150 countries who came to showcase their products and discuss how to improve milk productivity, not only in Africa but worldwide. ASL HFD currently has three milk silos, with its most recent one having been set up this year, whose production capacity is 40, 000 liters for Uplands Premium Dairy. Milk productivity in Kenya contributes to 12% of agricultural GDP countrywide, largely due to advanced technological devices, from companies like ASL HFD, that have eased up the process of harvesting milk. This makes Kenya be the third largest producer of milk in Africa after Ethiopia and Sudan, with an estimated production of 5.2 billion litres of milk per year.
