Caroline Kariuki joined ASL Packaging at the end April 2016 as the new human resources manager. She is also in charge of human resources responsibilities for four other Group companies- Broekhof, Print Store, Flexo World and Eco Pallets. Caroline has six years’ experience in the field of HR. When asked her thoughts on her new role here is what she had to say;
“My main role is to shift the responsibilities of HR office from an administrative one to a more strategic role, and create an environment where employees feel at home. I believe this will have a positive trickle-down effect on their productivity.
I like that the environment at ASL Packaging is really flexible and it allows people to socialize freely. The fact that our GM, Ataur Rahim has created an open door policy is a step in the right direction, as it adds value to the business. This is evident by the length of service of staff members here. 40% of employees have served for more than ten years and I hope to serve just as long.”
