ASL STEEL: ASL Steel recognize staff for 25 years of service

Recognition is a key motivating factor for employees working in any organization and recently, ASL Steel honoured two of their longest serving employees who have worked with them for over 25 years.

Peter Wambua joined the company in 1978 as a machine operator in the manufacturing department. He was then promoted to factory in 1980 where he has worked until present day. He is now a Supervisor at the factory. ‘I have really enjoyed working for ASL Steel, gaining a wealth of experience and product knowledge such that I can now manufacture anything stainless as long as I have the materials,’ he enthused.

Alfred Okumu joined ASL Steel in 1979 under the previous owners. He has worked in the welding department from the onset which deals with the welding of all steel products. He says, ‘Working here has been like working with family. The management, working conditions and working relationships are excellent. It has provided my livelihood and I’m still going strong.’

These two gentlemen definitely have the spirit we should all strive to emulate in our daily work lives.
