ASL PACKAGING: ASL Packaging takes on Kaizen

Kaizen is a Japanese word meaning “continuous improvement”. It is a system that involves the entire organization and is more about making little changes on a regular basis as opposed to big changes once a year. This motivates employees to give suggestions on how to improve operations and procedures that they use on a daily basis. ASL Packaging adopted Kaizen in 2010 with a view to maintain continual process improvement in their day-to-day activities in order to better utilize resources, optimize operations, improve production and monitor and control waste. So far, it has produced encouraging results such as reduced time spent for die cutting operations, better monitoring and control of rejects and enhanced working conditions for all workers. Kudos to the ASL Packaging team!
