The 2015 Rhino Charge saw a lot of involvement from the Ramco Group –
The event was a great success raising over Kshs 100m. The funds raised by the event are used to build an electric fence around Mt Kenya to stop the human/wildlife conflict, reduce deforestation and protect the water catchment tower of the mountain. The Rhino Charge in its 28th year and has already successfully completed the fencing of the Aberdares and Mau forests.
There were 65 starting cars of which 30 finished the course. Hasit finished a credible 22nd while Derek finished in 31st place after dirty fuel prevented his car getting to the last guard post. As Derek said, “Theres always next year!”
